In July 2015, approximately 100 million people from around the world travelled to India. They travelled to the Rishikesh Ganga Jamuna Yoga Retreat at Ambikapuram by bike, or for a spiritual journey by train and bus. The objective was to take a retreat in the mountains of Rishikesh, in northern India. On a warm summer day, the participants arrived at one of the most splendid Buddhist sites in the world. Starting on July 18, the participants embarked on a five-day experience of Kundalini and Vedic Yoga and meditation.

The participants, who came from all over the world, left their electronic devices behind. They travelled in solitude. Through their extraordinary and endless experience of yoga, they experienced a deeper meaning and understanding of their personal lives and of life in general. At the same time, they discovered more deeply the restorative properties of the natural world, including the abundant rain forests and the silent sacred hills in the region. After their transcendental experience, the participants remembered the road taken by all ancient civilizations: to embrace their spiritual soul for a new spiritual direction and life experience.
Over 7,000 people participated in the Rishikesh yoga retreats and were brought together for the ultimate experience. Upon their return, they focused themselves on the Buddhist philosophy, enriched their Buddhist experience, and studied the ancient literature of Rishikesh. Many of the participants reported that the journey brought them to new depths of consciousness. On their return, they set about training yoga teachers in their area. Today, thousands of Yoga teachers are trained in Rishikesh. In addition, many yoga teachers from all over the world travel to learn the lessons of the Dalai Lama and to strengthen their knowledge and spread the spiritual message through their practice.
